her owner is one of the sweetest kind hearted kids I have ever had the pleasure of both teaching and photographing. There were several beautiful shots of her alone and with her family but the ones I really wanted to share are these cute playful ones of her hat and dog (and hat on dog:)

It has been an amazing year documenting the milestones of this little guy, who belongs to one of my favorite families to photograph. Happy Birthday!

Meet the newest member of the Lynn family! Jacob is a two year old miniature horse. Sweet and curious, he is an absolute blessing. Although young, he has taken to the kids like a duck to water. We are having so much fun with him.
I first spotted Jacob at an AMHA (American Miniature Horse Association) show I was photographing last June. His striking silver dapples caught my eye from about a hundred yards away and I immediately stopped what I was doing to go introduce myself and pass on my compliments to his owner Paige Mehlhope of Chance of Gold Farm in Ohio.
These pictures of him are from that weekend. I even came back the next day with my sister nieces and daughter to show him off. I went home to tell my friends how I "Fell in Love." I decided "One Day" I was going to get a mini just like him to show and fulfill my dream of adding driving to my horse resume.
Thankfully, Paige kept my contact information and remembered my strong reaction to him. I will be forever grateful to her that my "One Day" is now and my kids are enjoying such a sweet small horse while they are sweet and small too.
Besides his main job as a full time cutie, both my daughter I and will show him in hand this year and are looking forward to driving with a cart when he is older. It so exciting to be stepping into the show ring this summer after a nearly decade off to focus on my family and business. Huge thanks to Deb Easton and the members of the IMEC club for helping us get started and Jennifer Abel of Four Willows Farm for the driving lessons with her beautiful Saddlebreds!
This is Jacob looking a little furrier last week after getting his hair conditioned and styled by my kids:)

She's been sparkling up the show arena since our equestrian team days back in college, but now my good friend Ivy has taken her love of western "Bling" to the next level.
Recently, we got together for a fun little commercial photography shoot on my front porch. Check out her new site and line of custom made crystal saddle pads.

These are some pictures from last week of my family enjoying the snow (before it turned to solid ice). My husband helped the kids build a cool tunnel. I'm better with the snowmen, although in this case he's more of a snowboy. It was cold out there!

Updating the images on my site has been a back burner project for over a year now. I'm pleased that at least one section is done. Tonight, I added nearly forty horse images to my Equine Photography pages. Here are a few. It's been a fantastic year, I love the variety in breeds and disciplines I encountered this year. I can't have one of each in my barn, so this is my vicarious collection!
