I'm failing my New Years resolution to keep up on my blog-too busy! These are from the spring back when the grass was still green and the horses were fuzzy. Knew they would be great for the blog- so sweet, Thanks H!

I love this picture. It is my favorite from a series of snapshots of my children playing in the sprinkler in our yard last week . My daughter was delighted when she spied some dandelions and shouted "I FOUND WISHES!"

It was a little out of my comfort zone, but I love a challenge. So I accepted a job from one of my best client families. I normally take pictures of their adorable daughter, but this time they wanted pictures of their vintage Harley. I'm no expert in bikes, but I really enjoy how they turned out and had fun taking them.

This Spring I was officially accepted into the National Association of Women Business Owners, aka NAWBO. The Indianapolis chapter is huge, in the few meetings and events I've attended I have already met some very helpful and inspiring role models. Learning business skills isn't nearly as much fun as photography, but I'm making it my goal for this year. I am looking forward to taping into the resources of this group.
Of course, I'm also hoping to connect with NAWBO members needing some professional headshots. I've tipped my toe into the corporate world and found my love of portraits is in there too.

Yep, that's Lake Michigan in MARCH! |
I said it wouldn't happen but somewhere along the line it did. In my journey to be a better photographer, I forgot the joy of the snapshot. I forgot the fun of just traveling light with a tiny inexpensive camera, hitting the button on auto for the sake of preserving a memory, not achieving a perfect exposure. So here's my little snapshots, an ode to life a lot more spontaneous and a little less perfect!
